Understanding the question

It makes it easy to complete your task when you have a clear idea of what you have to do.

 

Read the assignment

The assignment sheet will show you what information you need to find and how you should present it. It might also include an assessment criteria . This is useful as a checklist to make sure you have addresses all part of the task

 

Write the question in your own words

Use the assessment sheet and criteria and write the question in your own words. This helps you see any ideas you may not understand, so you can clarify them before you go any further.At this point clarify. At this stage it is a good idea to write any questions you think you might need to answer as you research the task.

 

Identify key words

You will also need to identify the subject-specific words in your question. These will help you focus on the most important parts of the question. Highlight the words as you read the assignment. Use this list of key words when you begin your research
