Questioning the test helps you to fully understand a text and to form your own opinions about a subject.

As you read have the following questions in your mind;

  • Does the author have an obvious opinion about the subject?
  • What evidence have they used to support their point of view?
  • Do they state clear facts or just opinions?
  • How does the text make you feel?
